The following figures represent costs at SMSU for two semesters during the 2008-2009 academic year.
Undergraduate Costs: Tuition and Fee costs are based on tuition banding. Students enrolled in 12 - 18 credits will have the same tuition and fee charges. Room and board costs are based on a double room with the 15-meal plan and $125 flex.

Room and board costs can vary. For budgeting purposes, the Financial Aid Office will base a student's room and board costs on $5,884. This applies to students who are living on and off-campus (not with parents). Students who are living with parents will have a budget reduction of $1,800 for the year.
Personal living expenses include such things as transportation, pizza, movies, etc. Each student has different spending patterns; thus, miscellaneous expenses will vary.
